Here is a second tournesol that jsut open yesterday ! it's smaller than the first one but it's open wider. 

I hate visas (continued)

My son in law went to the russian consulate, and to prolongate his passport, they need 2 weeks ! 2 weeks to add a stamp ! I really do not understand why all the normal minded people can't unite against this stupid machine !
If somebody ear me, what about creating an organization to fight (really fight!) all these against-fredom-to-travel rules and laws and the men (diplomatics that suck our blood) behind them just to justify their superiority upon the poor guys of us !

Peupliers

These are "peupliers" in french. They are very high and I'm affraid that one day or another the strong wind will put them down !

Smelling like eaven !

The neighbours are making bbq and the smell towards us is VERY strong !
I love this smell but it's better if I'm at command !
Our time is coming, as at 7:15 PM we will don't wait a lot to start ours.

Good beer was available there and served with such enthousiasm and smiles !

BBQ is dead for today

Yesterday evening we went to a public celebration where we had some guiness. And this morning was a bit heavy with hangover, and we wake up at 1:30 PM, so it was too late for BBQ preparation.
We will organize that at home on our electric appliance.
Not so poetic, but efficient !

It is the week-end !

The sky is a bit cloudy but temp are sweat enough to allow us organize a bbq. I think we will go to Saint-Quentin park : there you can make real bbq with coal and everything. This is what I'm missing in my appartment. THis park is a space of freedom, very pleasant to spend few hours in family or with friends.

This is cafe-croissant in Paris this morning. A corner of paradise in a huge city. 

I hate visas ! Let unite to stop this practice from another age !

I want to create an association to lobby against visas for tourism !
Let give normal people the freedom to travel for visiting new places or friends without visas !
I don't think it's difficult to put in place : removing something is often easier than to install a new process.
Given the fact that visa is to control bandits andthat bandits are buying their visas without any problem, the impact of this prehistorical rule is only on the usual guy like you and me !
What a lost of time and energy, what a big money for the tourists and a little for the government !
Let use the consulate employees to better tasks, helping really their citizens with their day to day issues !
Now I have to go to claim a prolongation of my son in law passport, but I'm quite sure that for this stamp I'll have to wait 1 month and this will ruin hour family travel, and we will have to find what to do with this 16y boy during our stay in Russia !
I really hate all these kind of diplomatic rules !

Bad Weather

We planned to free up my fridge with a big bbq party this week-end : the weather is going to be cold and quite cloudy ! no chance !
Even making picture for my blog is difficult :-(

Visas and Passports : the pain in the ass

I thought that the transit visa for my familly was ok : NO ! No Way to have a normal life with these diplomats pissing us off around !
They said that they can give us the visa but the passport of my wife's son (16 y) expire in september and so it's not elligible for a transit in july !
Why there's a expire date on passport if these passports expire 3 months before ?????
May be better to make an expire date 3 months before directly ? but there will be somebody to find a reason to expire effectively the same passport 3 months before again, and so on so your passport will expire 3 months before to you can get your hands on it ! Isn't that a kind of stupidity !
I beg your help here, band of diplomats, why a passport can't be used to the expire date ?
Well, I'll go tomorrow and try to fix that : but the russian ambassy doesn't work on friday !
So I'll have to take an half day off again, just to chase paperworks ! for a few days trnasit of a person under 18 who will become a french when reach 18 ! And this is Europe !

Russian Tournesol

Do you know that the tournesol I'm staring on my blog is from a russian seed !
It's far more beautiful than other!!!!
Well and this evening, I have my first summer shower : it's night, with rain, and I'm going outside my appartment fully naked !
It's like paradise on earth !

It's my help when I'm very tired and that I have to continue working on my computer :
I look at him and my mind is taking his quietness, a bit as if he was sleeping for me.

I wanted to load my photo in the profile ...

but since tomorrow the ftp site of my ISP doesn't work very well. I cannot upload files using my usual ftp client.
The workaround I found finally is to use mozilla composer, create a dummy page with the photo inside and publish it. And it worked ! so now you can see a portrait of myself in my profile.
Hu, techno will get all of us crazy one day or another !

As promised, here is a picture of this tournesol as per yesterday. As you can see, it's fully opened now. Isn't a miracle of the Nature ! 

Last post with Hello !

Hey, I feel like a superman of the web : I've posted a picture with Hello! .
It's a companion software which is able to push picture from your hard disk direct into a post on blogspot.com. I was used to ftp'd my picture to my perso home page and then link a IMG tag to it. But today, the ftp site is down so I wanted to try something else, and it works !

Syberia

I've installed this game that I bought yesterday. I began to play with it.
Hu, ho, it's not that simple, may be because I'm not a king of the advnture games (last time I played one it was tomb raider II ! ).
The graphics are great and the action is a bit slow. But the gameplay is mysterious ! I don;t understand why the first time I succeded to build the legs of the robot in the fabric and not the second time I restarted from the begining.
I think I'll try harder but it needs a lot of time. Let see what will happen during my summer vacation.

Sunday

It's so cold in Paris today ! Around 17c. We had the idea to go to the beach (it's 2 hours drive from here) but there it's even colder ! So we will stay in the appartment, great.
The mood is a bit better even if I have to face some disappointing things like the lost of a credit card.
I'll have to make massages for my wife because she has her neck going wrong.
yesterday I've bought 2 exercise books : one for russian and another for chineese. I would like to learn chineese language but it's a bit tough to read. The pronounce is also something mysterious as I don't have any friend to help me. The learning tapes are a bit expensive, and I don't want to invest a lot there. But it's so interesting !
Yesterday I've also bought a game : Siberya part 1. It's and old one, and it was 10euros only so I took it. A lot of people I know will say I am fool, because I didn't download it from a hacker site. I don't like too much that because I was a programmer at the begening and I don't like to miss respect to the work of somebody else.
I let you know if I am making some progress in this game.
The touenesol is really beautiful and I'll post a photo from yesterday.

Life

It appears that I can't understand the people I'm leaving with!
It looks like they are waiting something from me, but I don't know what.
There's also the proble to behave the way they expect, but this I can't.
I'm always behaving differently than expected by them.
So, the result is cyclic disputes about things that I count as not important
but that they count as vital criticity.
With my previous post, you already undeerstood that I am in a sad mood these days.
I would like to be able to go to the office and work all day long there to escape
a situation. It's not very courageous, but I don't feel the strength to cope with it.
I hope that time is going to accelerate a bit so I'll be after this crisis.

Saturday

That the day I don't like too much, a bit as the Sunday.
Let me try to explain why.
There are too much duties on this day : between the things to do at home
and the things to buy for the rest of the week, essentially food, there's nothing
else we can do.
There is also the problem to live in Paris region : when you want to go somewhere, there are
too much people that got the same idea than you and you're stucked in the traffic jams or in
never ending lines.
The Sunday, everything is closed, so people don't have a chance than to take their car and
drive to some welknown places. Then it's again the crowd everywhere around.
Some people told me that I have a big chance because there is a forest nearby : I don't like forest
that much and I cannot walk because my legs hurt me (I cannot no longer make any sport because of that).
Some others told me that I have a chance to live in Paris area because of all events happening here and there.
I have not enough money to go these ones, and I can't stand the size of the lines.
So I am at home with these neighbours I don't understand : they don't want to keep me quiet.
Their kids are taking my windows for football goals so I had already some dispute with their mothers.
I hate the people living in Paris area because of their "kids are kings and queens" attitude, and their
"we are the best and the only one" attitude, rhaaa !
I would like to leave in a peaceful area, where I could drive to some quiet place without struggling for
my place in the traffic !
It demands time to organize that, and some monney that I don't have. So I stay there, in this appartment
with my dreams.

haaaa traveling !

Now I had confirmation that we do not need visa at all to transit in Poland. That's good.
But the Luthuanian consulat asked for more documents : a bank report for my wife ! this is very complex because in France, nobody can ask you this kind of things, these infos are protected by private secret. Only fiscal investigation can access them.
So, it's not yet done !

Visas (continued) and the price of battery

You know that I plan to travel to Lithuania next month.
Weel, my friend from Kaunas, LT told me that he called polish consulate in Poland and they said that my wife didn't need any visa to transit through Poland.
And today I doubled-checked with the Polish consulate in Paris, and for them it's mandatory for my wife to hold a transit visa to travel through Poland.
I understand less and less these country that said they want to be part of EU and they do not trust French documents, according to the fact that my wife even if she's russian is living already 4 years in France where she's working and so on.
I was terribly disappointed !
Then I wanted to check the price of a new battery for my digital still camera : 50euros !
It's a 4 years old model, so I didn't buy the spare on the fly, 'cause I prefered to ask Anya about what to do : to buy a new one or spend 50E in the battery. She said that as we can't afford to byu a brand new one, we didn't have any other option that to take the new battery.

I have done a tour of the options when creating a post, but nothing like upload a photo.
Any clue welcome.
I wanted to post picture of the roses in my little corner of garden.
Well, I'll do without it for the moment.
Now we are friday evening and it must be a nice moment. It is not, we didn't manage to organize our life here near Paris to get it happy.
Our project is to relocate in Moscow in 2/3 years. I think it will be the end of a very grey part of our life.

A full day of paperworks !

Results of today :
- 1 hour in Lithuanian consulate in Paris, with a big discussion about which kind of visa need my wife and her son. The winner izzzz : a double transit visa. It allows 5 days on the first traversal and 5 days on the journey back.
- 1 hour in Insurance office to get the certificate of assistance world wide
- 1 hour in social health insurance to get the european certificate of health insurance.

given that it takes some time to find a car park each for each office visit, and that these offices have strange business hours habits, it's a full day chasing the documents for these visas.

Now, I have to return to the consulate and apply for the visas. They must be ready 5 days later.

Now I am going to seriously study the maps to Kaunas, LT.

trip to Lithuania and Russia preparation

I have a mission today : going to the Lithuanian Consulate in Paris and make paperworks for a visa for my wife and her son. Thye are russians but they are living with me in France. But if we travel to Luthuania, this fact is not taken into account and they need visas.
I would like to suggest politics to seriously think about free visas everywhere for tourists. These visas are not a problem for bandits, only a burden for all of us.
I think it will be a good economic deal : less $$ for consulates but less people processing paperworks, but so much $$ brought into the countries by tourists ! The potential is huge, and it's a pity that politics are not looking at this problem from this angle.
Whish me courage and chance is these moments that are very difficult for me.

I'll post the results, I promise.

Action and Thought

Our brain is a very mysterious engine. Last reading learned me that it's developping itself a lot by auto-rewarding of some zones. This is a very interesting idea, if you imagine that it's applying to a large number of situations.
It could explain why people are sometimes repeating a given behaviour, leading to possible conflicts.
It could give a new view on motivation and satisafaction and how we can manage them.
