Alexey's Birthday !

Today is Alexey's Birthday and he has got 17 !
we're going to buy some presents for him : wears and video games.
we want also to have champagne and dessert for this evening. What's strange to me is that he didn't organized evening nor invited some friends. May be because last time he did that, we (not he) spend one year long to clean the dining room off the saussages they thrown to each other in the face, so much that the walls still remember the facts ! But I imagine it's possible to have a nice evening between friends without spoiling every thing around ?
So, today we have birthday, as russian says.

Planning of the day

It's already 14:40 and I did nothing else than sleep. We had again a violent dispute yesterday and I feel more and more terribly tired after these moments.
My first plan was to go and help her at work but I revised my mind : why I'll do that if the only way to say thank is to yell on me. And if the job needs 2 persons, then it's not my problem too.
Grrrr, I'm felling still nervous !
Clearly, I don't want to do anything, I'm like energiless.
So the plan today will be to clean the dishes, period.

I took two days from my credit and with the bridge of tomorrow it's 5 consecutive days I have to stay at home !

A new week is beginning

Hugh, a lot of work in perspective, but a quiet office, as a lot of colleagues are on vacation.
And as a surprise, it's rainy today, as yesterday was a bright sun 1st of May.

1st of May

Aliosh is gone very early (7 AM) to stand all day long and sell traditionnal may flowers. I hope he will got some money back for this and also that he will not use this money to smoke (what I am sure).

Today Saturday ...

... and we are preparing to the birthday tomorrow of Olga. We are in charge of shashliki : pork and chicken. We're going to marinated them beginning today evening so tomorrow the taste will be dramatically better than raw meat :-)

How to ...

How to rebuild self-motivation ? For me, if I have to ask this question it's the sign that something is going wrong in my organisation.
But, may be, I'm waiting too much from it, so I took the decision to try something, replace myself between the others, understand what my manager is thinking about my work and about my dev, and stir until the sauce is ready :-)
Well, hum, not easy exercise indeed !

Clouds have gone away

After the clouds and storm, the sun shines brightly again. Even if the smell of the wet grass is present, the warm of the sun rays is going straight to the heart, and it's good.

let's hope the the next huricane is far far far still.

Difficult times

After a dispute, it's always difficult, isn't it ?

Well, I feel guilty to have lost control, I have pain in my heart, my left hand hurts (I can't remember why) and I have strange feelling like a permanent headache, plus no tonus at all for nothing.
Again today at work will be long. Hopefully, I have enough work to help me forget about this pitiful moment.

Is it possible to keep self-controled any time ?

Yesterday evening I thought I can kill someone like that 'snap' ! I still feel very nervous and I'm affraid of what can occur later today or tomorrow. I hope this person will understand that playing with my nerves is not good for her physical integrity.

Back to work

Hey ! I didn't do it too bad for my first day : 3 big meetings, 3 calls, 5 spreadsheets, a half ton of mails read and sent,... But, as usual, my main project didn't progress at all, that's a pity. We have a survey going on about the work, and I have this big idea to say : in a such multi-plex of activities, the less important are taking the time of the most important and business oriented.

16 years old and hard for the head

Yesterday I've got to drink a few drops of a kind of french snaps, 16 years old, and this morning my head is nowhere but on my shoulders !
Ou la la ! The right question : how I'm going to do at work today, back from a week of vacation ????? hum, I'll say, let's try to walk close the walls and low profile to avoid any risk of bad contact :-)

I don't know why I wanted to write this. I almost forget that tomorrow some friend had invited us, and sunday we will go to anothers. A hard week-end isn't it ???

The same Friday, there was Gedre, also from Litva as Ilona. She is maried with the son of our friend Kazimires, and they live in Litva, near Kaunas.

It was last Friday, and it was first time we meet with Ilona after she announced that she was pregnant : congratulations to you and your friend !

Quiet evening in perpective

Today we will stay quietly at home but tomorrow, we expect Gedre to come and visit us. I guess this will bring a bit of good mood, because we invited Ilona too. So, today, we will have a good rest in prevision :-)

Ooooooyooooo So Good !

This evening with our friends Olga and Alain was wonderful ! We talked talked and talked, and drink and eat and the mood was really very full hard joy !
I'll post some pics I took with my phone. I like more and more this simple phone with VGA still camera, it's like a visual block note, very easy to use and people do not feel the same than when you aime at them a true camera.
And well, God Bless JP II, peace to him and his soul !

Kiss my ass

I like this song. It's a frenchy who wrote this techno/disco hit. And I like it very much even if it's already a quite old thingy.
Well the easter week-end is at its end. I've cooked spaghetti carbonara, per the recipe of my old friend Kiko, that I never seen again after we've been back in Paris, in year 2000. The trick is to use ham instead of bacon. It's light and tasty.
I'm stressed because tomorrow I've tough work : I want to implement a graphic generation onto a db of my own. The libs are perl which generate SVG, and they are also from my own. Their particularity is to be very simple. I don't like the professionals libs because they are very complex, too complex for the day to day work, when you want/need to chart some series quickly and neaty.
At the same time I've to build a doc for a kind of universal db, the kind of thing you can store whatever you want without defining a new table ever.
It's based on Oracel but it could be upon any RSGDB/Sql.
At home I'm working on a CSS only managed home page. It'll be visible soon.
I've to think about something for the content, so there'll be some parameters to be changed but the template will stay the same for a whole site.

Diet 3rd week results

Hum, not that much to be proud of : I was around 103 kg last saturday, I'm a bit less than that now, let say 102,5kg. Of course, it's better than 105kg.

Diet : positive results

Modest, but positive : 104 kg against 105 kg last week ! No really what to be proud of ! I'm so happy to do not have seen 106 :-)

Diet Week #1

It is the day to check if last week has been fruitful !

Hu, I'm a bit affraid to compare the say of the weight keeper with its last spell !

Diet is difficult

I put myself on diet after I reached the 105 kg this week-end. But, even if everybody knows, I want to say how it's difficult. One thery could arg about our habits. Take a new habit is a question of 2/3 times the same thing. But, remove an habit, that could be very hard work. Our brain has really strange build-in features like that. It's clear that it does not want to care with too much of things, so if something is becoming usual, it's stored somewhere like an automation, an less consciousness is needed to action it. But, it the storing of new items is easy (because this way the brain can faster go on other unusual events), cleaning the habit area is a magician trick : just sometimes you can't. Try this : change the place of your trashcan in the kitchen, then note how many time you were ready to throw away something at the previous position of the can and how long it will happen that you'll still expect it at this old place ??? Result are just incredible.
This could cause some eating behaviours, link to some habit, very difficult to stop, like some apetizers when you're back from work.
So, 105 this week-end : let see if I'll have some good results next wee-end !

When SF is switching off ...

hu, no it's Clamart, it's not SF. Weare now in the beginning of the night, but it's not yet totally black.
I have found what I'm going to do in the next minutes : I want to continue set up a web page whit css positioning only.
I'm using a free web authoring tool, but the positioning is really something tricky.

Sleep !

Yesterday Yura and Nastia was with us for dinner. I drove them baack to their hotel around midnight, then we stay in the kitchen to rebuild the Big Russia with Ryzhya until 3 AM. And today, I'm so tired, I want to sleep terribly !
Hu, I'm ready a polar, "Vodka", that's quite newly released, from february I guess. The action is during the privatizations and it beginning very hard. I think I'm going to read it very fast.

I'll love to have a chance to navigate this charming boat, in the SF Bay !

Sun, HP and IBM

One comment this morning about quotes : I looked at Sun, and it was downward, but I looked also at HP and IBM and they are not that better. It's not a good reason but I feel better to see that it's not only Sun going down but the other big ones too. I don't understand analysts and traders at all : Sun has a great momentum behind Solaris 10 and great technology with SPARC IV and Opteron systems, we've never been so wealthy on the plan, and despite that the stock market is pushing us down. It's a kind of black magic.

Surprising snow this morning !

Work from home and SF mental preparation

I worked from home today. For 2 reasons : first it was snowy, not that much but who knows, suddently there's 5cm and you're stucked at the office, second, I had some tough programming work to finish today, and when I'm at the office, it's a little bit difficult to isolate and there's always someone who needs you. So I decided to stay here and it worked : I finished the changed on one statistical projects, which shows telephony stats for our offices in Europe.

I had to send a break mail to stop people involved in different projects with me to stop asking me about update and if I didn't forgot about their stuff. Aaaargh ! I told them exactly what I thought and then I was more quiet to speed up my contribution.

But I am also concerned by my trip to San Francisco : I know that Arnold expects that I bring back some related to RAW and wristling, specially triple H his favorite superman. I want to see also if there are some electronic appliances interesting to buy there, like photo camera or the like. Well, I feel not very good also to let my little family here alone. I'll be in another time zone and I'm affraid that they could need my help when I'll be deep sleeping. Hopefully it's not long and they are already better french speaking thant before. Let forgot about bad things and keep focused on positive aspects....

Surprising snow

We have snow this morning. A little surprising, because this year, the winter was not that cold until this week. I guess I'm going to work from home this morning. I don't want to risk a slip : it's so unusual in that region that I suspect road equipement to be inadapted. And my tires are not very well suited for snow too. And I don't want to go to the office today, so it's a good opportunity. I have some scripts and web pages to test, so I can do it from here perfectly, as if I was in the office, really.

Arnold is sick

I met Arnold at the airport yesterday, cool ! But ihe is sick, very sick.
I must found a quick solution for him : nose is blocked and he is looking tired.
He said he never went to a specialist. May be that is something to try.
And yesterday, Fount has been to a demonstration of high school student. But they where only 4 from his college so now we have a problem with the scholl administration. Always got surprises with him !
I'm in a hurry, because I'm working only mornings this week, with almost the same workload than usual. I need to be at work before 8 AM, and that's not going to happen today !

It's Cold

I don't want to go outside to day because it's looking very cold in the street. Yesterday we got almost snow and the temps felt 10°C.

Sasha is in Moscow !

Sasha went back to her moscow life, and we, are staying here in Clamart. I envy her. I hope that I'll really be able to manage a come back in Russia with Ryzhya, and stay there for ever !
